As
the highest region in the world, the soaring craggy peaks and
rolling hills of the high plateau makes Tibet one of the most
stunning places on earth. The quality of light, the way shadows
caress the landscape and the unusual cloud formations formed in
multihued blue skies is unparalleled anywhere else on earth. The
divine euphoria is intensified at the site of pilgrims
prostrating themselves full body along the deserted highway,
some in rags and others draped in turquoise and coral headdress.
The diversity of the land and its people is impossible to
describe in mere words. Even photographs and videos cannot come
close to what it is like to walk in this wonderland of color.
It's a cultural bouquet. It's an historical treasure. It's a
spiritual banquet. Simply put, visiting this land is a
soul-changing experience you must live to understand.
